PoRtiOn ConTrOl

I found this great little guide to what portion sizes should be. I am going to study it because I think that is my problem, eating more than I think I am. It was in a nice organized fashion when I copied it (it even had pictures) and I don't know how to fix it, so I hope you can get the idea.

In the age of super-sizing, it’s all too easy to misjudge portion sizes.

A side note, we went hiking today and Hunter slipped and tumbled down the rocky hill and landed on his head. He had to get 3 staples in his head. We had to hike down the mountain, drive home and then take him to the doc and by then he had a lot of dried blood on his head. He did really well letting them clean his head but the staples weren't much fun for him. He was tough though. Maybe I can have Mindy post a couple pictures, since I don't know how to do that kind of stuff. Hope you all have a great Easter!! Wish I could see you all.

I think it really helps to think about portion size. Sometimes we don't realize how much we are eating. I have noticed that it also helps to write down everything we eat. Just the thought of having to write that you ate it will stop you from eating something. Also you can look back and see that maybe you were eating more than you thought or that you really have been eating good.

I hope Hunter is feeling better. That is always scary when they get hurt and then have to wait while you drive to the hospital.
